John is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Cocoon Networks. In addition, John is also the Founder and the Chairman of the British Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association (BCYEA), the largest Chinese start-up community in Britain. John brings extensive experiences to start-up companies who want to expand internationally through his previous business activities between China and the UK. Prior to founding Cocoon Networks, John worked as an Investor Relationship Director at Hanxin Capital(Now, the Cocoon Corporate).

John has been extremely active in venture capital investment focusing on supporting the growth of technology companies in Europe and China. He has developed an extensive network that helps to bridge the entrepreneurial communities, technology transfer and business opportunities between the UK and China. Over the years, John has worked with such government organisations and institutions as Chinese Communist Youth League (a leading Chinese national organisation that has contributed numerous number of top echelon leaders of the Chinese government, such as the current Premier Li Keqiang, the Wuhan municipal government, and the Shanghai Municipal government, the DIT; the world’s leading universities; and built connections with many of the world’s most leading accelerators and venture capital houses including Tus Holdings, IDG Capital, SoftBank, and Shenzhen Capital Group.

Being a serial-entrepreneur himself, John previously founded businesses in international luxury goods trading, international organic food trading, real estate, and management consulting.
